Alfredo Avila-Muñoz Our chief instructor is Alfredo Avila-Muñoz (2nd dan, Aikikai), who founded the Aikido Queretaro dojo. He is currently student of Pat Hendricks Sensei (6th dan, Aikikai). Avila sensei started aikido practice in 1998 under the late Miguel Moreno Shihan from the Mexican Aikido Federation. Between 2001-2003, Mr. Avila was a student of Stefan Barton sensei (5th dan Aikikai) at the same time he was pursuing his Masters Degree at the University of Waterloo. They remain in close contact since then. |

Sensei has complemented his practice by attending a number of seminars and special classes from several aikido organizations inside and outside Mexico. Some highlights are: Seminar under Pat Hendricks (Toronto 2002), International Aikido Seminar under Fujita and Moreno Shihans (Mexico City, 2003), International Aikido Seminar (Tokyo, 2004), Seminar under Hitohiro Saito (Mexico City 2005), Instructors' workshops under Barton Sensei (Queretaro 2007, 2009), uchideshi under Pat Hendricks Sensei (San Leandro, 2009). |

Carlos Montes-de-Oca Carlos Montes de Oca (1st dan, Aikikai) started aikido at the Queretaro Aikikai dojo in 2003 under tutelage of Alfredo Avila. |

Besides his regular practice, he also had the opportunity to train under Miguel Moreno Shihan and Michael Moreno Sensei in several visits to the Mexico Aikikai central dojo. He has also participated in a number of special classes and seminars, including the 9th International Aikido seminar (Tokyo, Japan, 2004) and workshops with Barton Sensei (Querétaro 2007, 2009) |

Adán Cortés-Franco Adan Cortes (1st dan Aikikai) started aikido at the Queretaro Aikikai dojo in 2004 under tutelage of Alfredo Avila. He has participaded in a number of Aikido seminars. Besides that, was accepted as uchideshi of Barton Sensei in 2008. |

Gustavo Cepeda-Ruíz Gustavo Cepeda has been an accountable sempai in our dojo since his enrollment in year 2006. He has participated in a number of especial classes and seminars from different organizations in our country. |
